Steve Jobs, 1955-2011
THE LOSS OF AN INSPIRATION

“Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.” ~ Steve Jobs

He knew what he was talking about. He created a company that was always pushing to be better, always pushing to move forward. He changed the way we think, the way we relate, and the way we view not only technology, but each other. Jobs lead us from a time when computers in homes were unheard of, to a time when laptops are commonplace. But what made Steve Jobs great was not that he lead the way in computing technology, or that his company made $20 Billion in 2010, or that Apple has sold over 300 million Ipods world wide. What made him great was the fact that he did everything with humility, confidence, and an artistic attitude. He will be remembered.

Jobs’ ideas and vision have become integral to how we view music, movies, and home control. He shaped the evolution of technology as a whole and his legacy will live on through it. As Jobs and his company have said, “Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes … the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. … You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things. … They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

He will be greatly missed at Georgia Home Theater.
